DAY PROGRAM
Day 1:
At 07:00 Departure by bus from Paramaribo to the dam, we arrive around 10.00 hrs. After a brief tour of the dam, the luggage will be loaded in the waiting canoes (boats of the Maroons) for a trip to Tonka Island. We sail between the tree tops in the lake to the 30 minutes further situated Tonka island. Arrival around 12.00 hrs. At 13.00 hrs we will have lunch. After that feel free to explore the island or to swim. At 19.00 hrs we will enjoy our evening meal. After this, social gathering on the beach enjoying the beautiful night sky.
Day 2:
After breakfast we leave for a walk in the woods where there is explanation about the origins and effects of the reservoir, as well as the flora and fauna. Around 13.00 hrs we return to camp for lunch. Then you can relax in the water, relax in a hammock or just fishing. The anglers can fill their boots with the Peacock bass fishing. At 19.00 hrs start of campfire with B.B.Q. song and dance
Day 3:
The morning is spent walking, swimming, relaxing or fishing. At 12.00 hrs we have lunch, then we prepare for the journey back to Paramaribo. Arrival around 18:00 hrs.
