This tour is mainly to and back from Zanderij to Paranam. This breathtaking tour goes through rugged savannah, creeks, bush and a large part of the old railway. The area is characterized by trees, white sand, creeks and woods. Skill and knowledge of the area are here an absolute requirement. The 4x4 jeep safari day tour is an unique way to see the natural beauty of the savannah landscape in Suriname. The annual Savannah Rally is held in this area.

DAY PROGRAM

In the morning we depart towards Cabenda Village (Indian village) where we'll visit a pottery plantation. By bush roads and overflowed creeks, we visit  the old railway in the Savannah Berlin,  drive through the savanna forest to Kwakoegronon the river  Saramacca. At Kwakoegron (former terminal where the miners got out and continued  their journey to the gold fields deeper into the inland), we also recover  from the first part of our trip and enjoy a tasty Surinamese lunch.

In the afternoon we depart by jeep to the nearby native village Piking Saron for a short tour and then we return via the small Coessewijne savannah and  Zanderijnah back to Paramaribo
