Suriname is a real fishing paradise and offers a great challenge for keen fishermen. Many local fish are very large and aggressive. The most popular fish are Anjumara, the Tarpon, the Redtailcatfish, the Law Law and Peacock bass.

DAY PROGRAM

Day 1:
After breakfast departure by bus to Leonberg. By boat, we sail to sea, near the fishing village Braamspunt and fish on mainly catfish. Accept for artificial bait, we in Suriname use live bait as well. (Shrimsp and small minnows) The most fish is caught when tides change. In the afternoon we return to Paramaribo.

Day 2:
After early breakfast departure from your hotel around 07.00 through Apoera to the Blanche Marie falls. After a short visit in the falsl we go fishing on the River Nickerie for Anjoemara (Hoplias Macrophtalmus). In some places it is wise to use a float for the branches on the bottom.

Day 3:
After breakfast we go through the jungle again to the Nickerie river to fish, but then downstream by boat. Again for the Anjoemara, a prehistoric-looking fish with a dangerous bite, a beloved object.

Day 4:
You leave around 09.00 from the Blanche Marie falls into Apoera, then we will leave for location Siperutta, a village on the river Corantijne between Apoera and Oreala.Here we will fish for the Tarpon Atlanticist and Silurus glanis (catfish). The night is spent in a lodge with beds with mosquito nets and sanitary.

Day 5:
After breakfast there is still some fishing and then we head to Washabo (Indian village airstrip) for the return trip. Option 1: by plane to Paramaribo, with extra charge you arrive around 14.00 at the hotel. Option 2: with the boat through Nickerie to Paramaribo, but there is no fishing in the morning. Paramaribo arrival around 18.00 hours.

Day 6:
Free day for yourself. Of course the guide can be availablefor a fishing appointment

Day 7:
After early breakfast wehead towards the lake around 07.00 (Afobakka). The journey takes approximately 3 hrs. Then we sail to our camp on one of the islands in the lake. There will be fishing for the Tukunari, the Coebi and the Piranha. The fishing will take place on a boat or from an island. The fishing locations are usually flooded islands. We will overnight in a lodge with bathrooms and beds with mosquito nets. Hammocks are also available if desired.

Day 8:
At the crack of dawn, enjoy a beautiful sunrise and birds flying overhead. After breakfast we go to the fish location until 13.00 , have a lunch and then fishing until 17.00 . In the evening a delicious BBQ under a great sky.

Day 9:
After breakfast we go fishing at the dam. From there we return to Paramaribo. Arival in Paramaribo around 17.00.
